Bus fares in Dubai
You'll need a Nol Card (at an RTA branch or at a cash dispenser in the transport stations) to be loaded onto buses in Dubai. No cash payment is possible on board. Fares, which vary according to the zones covered, are as follows in 2022:
- Single route in one zone: between 4 and 8 AED (i.e. between 1 and 2 euros)
- Passage through 2 connected zonesbetween 6 and 12 AED (i.e. between 1.5 and 3 euros)
- 2 zones and morefrom AED 8.50 to AED 17.50 (from €2.25 to €4.5/journey)
Opening hours
- The Hop-on Hop-off tourist bus runs every day, with the first departure at 9am and the last at 5pm.
- Classic bus routes operate between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. and midnight and 1 a.m., with regular departures: about every 10 minutes for major lines / about every 30 minutes for secondary lines
Useful info
There are rules of good behavior to be observed in Dubai, or risk being fined. For example, it is forbidden to eating or drinking on buses or put your feet up on seats. It's common sense!
You'll go up through the front door to validate the ticket, and you'll also need to validate it at the exit.
