One of the most popular attractions on Yas Island is the Ferrari World. Discover a world of thrills with over 40 rides, including the world's fastest roller coaster, Formula Rossa. Then escape the desert heat and take a dip in the city's only water park: Yas Waterworld. Spread over 14 hectares, guests can enjoy a full day of adventures on more than 40 rides, slides and other attractions such as a wave pool, underwater VR experiences and flowriding.

Hosting the F1 Grand Prix every year, the Yas Marina circuit is one of the best in the world. If you're heading to Yas Island for F1, be prepared for a unique experience. When there are no races, you can test your driving skills in a specially adapted vehicle on this world-renowned track.
If you're looking for a break from all the action, head to the relaxing white sands of Yas Beach. Beach facilities include infinity pool, private chalets and several bars and restaurants. You'll also find a wide range of water sports. Visitors to Yas Island can enjoy free access to the beach.
In addition to the Yas Marina circuit, there are numerous restaurants, fitness and leisure facilities. For golf enthusiasts, there's the Yas Links. Designed by Kyle Philips, the 18-hole golf course also features swimming pool and gym.
Shopping on Yas Island
Yas Mall, located in the center of the island, is the largest shopping mall in all of Abu Dhabi. Opened in 2014, the three-level mall offers a range of shopping, dining and entertainment experiences for residents and tourists alike. Featuring luxury brands, a children's playground, over 60 restaurants and a state-of-the-art cinema, you could easily spend a whole day at Yas Mall.
Where to eat on Yas Island
Need to refuel after a busy day? Fortunately, the island boasts over 160 different restaurants and cafés. From fast food to fine dining, you'll find cuisines from all over the world. I recommend a visit to Al Fanr, where you can try the cuisine of the Emirates.
You can also taste to the flavours of Italy at the Filini Garden or transport yourself to India and visit Rangoli. In the evening, discover Casa De Cuba's extensive cocktail menu, try the W Lounge for something a little more sophisticated, or head to the MAD discotheque to party the night away.
How do I get to Yas Island?
You can reach Yas Island by by car, cab, bus or boat. If you're coming from central Abu Dhabi, the island is just a 30-minute drive away and only 10 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport. If you're visiting Yas Island from Dubai, the journey takes around an hour from downtown Dubai and 75 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport. Dubai International Airport.
Getting around Yas Island is easy with the free Yas Express shuttle, which takes you to all the island's key points and main attractions.
When is the best time to visit the island?
As Abu Dhabi is in the middle of a desert, the summer months can be extremely hot and humid with minimal rain. However, the advantage of visiting in summer is that you may be able to negotiate. Indeed, accommodation prices tend to fall during this period.
If you're looking for slightly cooler temperatures, but still plan to head to the beach and relax by the pool, the best time is April to May or September to October. The winter months are also a great time to visit, as the Emirates come alive with festivals, concerts and sporting events.
