Eataly in Dubai opened its doors in one of the city's culinary hotspots, the Pavilion.
Being in a brand-new dining destination should help Eataly. However, it faces stiff competition from established rivals such as Akiba Dori and La Mezcaleria.
Today, I'm going to tell you more about Eataly in Dubai.
Eataly in Dubai: article summary
Eataly in Dubai at a glance
Founded in Turin in 2007Eataly has restaurants all over the world. In Dubai, there are three branches: at The Beach, at Dubai Mall and Dubai Festival City. If you don't like eating indoors, I recommend Eataly at The Beach. This place has two outdoor terraces.
The terraces offer an impressive view of the Persian Gulf and Ain Dubai from Bluewater. Here, you can enjoy the finest Italian dishes in a warm, intimate atmosphere. What's more, the decor transports you to the heart of Italy.
Themed decoration to make you feel at home in Italy
The decor is all about minimalism. You'll find yourself in an atmosphere colored with off-white, beige and wood. The tables are arranged in staggered rows under long white sails to protect you from the sun. This is a place perfect for lunch with family or friends.
A quality menu
In an Italian restaurant, of course, do as the Italians do. There's an excellent selection of Italian wines served all day long. While the cocktail menu is a must. with aperitifs, from negroni to spritz. If you're looking for a little freshness, I recommend the refreshing rosato cocktail: a suitably fruity drink with wonderful sweet tastes that will wake up your taste buds before dinner.
The menu is packed with Italian classics. Not only does it have a long list of antipasti, pastas, risottos, pizzas to share and salads.. You'll also find a wide choice of meats and vegetables.
Eataly in Dubai: a hearty meal right from the start
If you're someone who skips starters, there are some you must try at Eataly Dubai. The caprese di buffalo, with buffalo mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes, olives and green tomato broth, is a refined dish that will be perfect to open your meal. You can also order a bruschetta with roasted heirloom tomatoes, a fresh and tasty dish.
Then comes the pasta. Indeed, if you eat at Dubai's Eataly, pasta is a must. On the spot, we will ask you how you would like them cooked. It's not a common question in an Italian restaurant, but you need to be prepared. For your main course, I recommend tagliatelle al ragu bolognese.
These are cooked with wagyu beef, which I'm sure you've never tasted before. Don't forget to ask for your pasta to be cooked al dente. It will then be perfectly cooked so that you can enjoy all the flavors that the dish exudes.
Desserts are the kind of classics and proportions an Italian nonna would make. Of course, I recommend you try the rich, creamy tiramisu served at Dubai's Eataly. However, you can also consider the pistachio parfait with chocolate sauce and candied zesty orangea real delight. These dishes are quite hearty and elegantly presented.
