Fast food in Dubai: article summary
Fast food in Dubai: Hardee's
Opened in the United Arab Emirates in 1981, Hardee's is an American food chain that offers burgers and chicken dishes in Dubai.
Hardee's is a typically Western restaurant focused on fast food. Typically, you'll only drop in if you want burgers and chicken.
In terms of the menu, however, you can choose between different types of dishes. As I pointed out earlier, this place focuses on selling burgers. One thing I particularly like is their children's menu.
It doesn't have many options for children, but it covers all the basic dishes offered by the restaurant. Hardee's try to offer children's versions of their burgers, from sides to chicken dishes.
I advise you to avoid peak hours at this restaurant. To avoid wasting time, you can order via their app or via the various delivery apps available in Dubai.
The restaurant opens :
- From Monday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Sah El Nom Express
Established in 2015, Sah El Nom Express is an extension of the restaurant chain of the same name. This establishment is the fast-food version of the parent company's services.
For a good price and quick service time, Sah El Nom Express offers Syrian and Western dishes for customers. They have a wide variety of dishes for you to try.
Here you can order shawarmas, burgers, pizzas and kebabsto name but a few.
If you are interested, you can order your meal by visiting the food court on the Dubai Mall or online.
Speaking of food courts, Sah El Nom Express is located in one of them. This means that if you're planning to grab a bite to eat in their restaurant, you won't be dining in an exclusive venue created by the company.
If eating in food courts isn't your thing, I recommend ordering online or getting their takeaways.
The restaurant is open :
- From Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to midnight
- From Friday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Fast food in Dubai: New York Fries
New York Fries is a fast-food restaurant that originated in Canada. Here you'll find fries, hot dogs and poutine.
The most remarkable thing about this place is the almost infinite customization of your dishes. Customers can choose the toppings to go with the fries. Please note that their poutine menu doesn't allow for this flexibility.
Another interesting aspect of New York Fries is their portions. Their hot dogs, fries and poutine are particularly hearty and well worth the price!
So if you're in the mood for fries, New York Fries is the place to be!
The restaurant opens :
- From Sunday to Wednesday, 10 a.m. to midnight
- From Thursday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Jollibee
Opened in the Philippines in 1978, Jollibee has now reached other countries, including the United Arab Emirates. This fast-food chain is best known for its Chickenjoy, a fried chicken dish known for its incomparable crispness.
In terms of menu, you have a wide choice. You can order pasta dishes, burgers and fries. On top of that, they offer desserts and different kinds of drinks.
In terms of cuisine, it's a mix of Filipino and Western. Personally, I recommend you try the Palaboka pasta dish typical of the Philippines.
Aesthetically, the restaurant's interior is simple and clean, with comfortable chairs for sitting. It's important to note that if you order 3 or more items, waiting times can range from 20 to 30 minutes. At peak times, it can take up to 30 to 45 minutes.
The company also offers delivery services for those who would like to enjoy home delivery!
The restaurant opens :
- From Sunday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to midnight
- Visit Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Fast food in Dubai: My Shawarma
My Shawarma combines various flavors and dishes throughout the UAE to offer different types of taste to their customers.
The menu is not very varied. It's just shawarmas, hummus and salads. Drinks are also available.
As you head towards their current store, you may notice that the place is a bit small. It's well-designed and well-lit, but the space is rather narrow.
On the other hand, at My Shawarma free Wi-Fi. Perfect if you want to connect while you eat and share your meal on social networks.
The restaurant opens :
- All week from 11:30 a.m. to midnight
