Fujairah: article summary
Dine at the Orangery

Fujairah: diving at Dibba Rock
Would you like to go diving in the United Arab Emirates? Dibba Rock is a breathtaking site. Dives go down to 30 meters, and you'll enjoy10-metre visibility on a good day on these seabeds.
Dibba Rock is a must-see once you reach the seabed. Swaying corals greet divers, while rays, green turtles and colorful scaled fish can be spotted floating above a small wreck.
Explore Fujairah Fort
The ancient forts of the United Arab Emirates are iconic, and exploring them should be part of your program in Fujairah. Today, they serve as stopping points for history-loving hikers. The Fujairah fort is no different, situated 20 meters above sea level, three kilometers inland. Its distinctive architecture will impress you with its beauty.
The site opens to the public :

Take a history lesson at Fujairah Heritage Village
The rich heritage of the United Arab Emirates comes to the fore in this Fujairah village. There are a multitude of displays and exhibitions to browse. The open-air "living" museum presents a mosaic of Bedouin lifeguests to learn the art of fishing boat building, cooking, dancing and singing.
Hiking in the wadis of the Hajar mountains
The city is the perfect place to enjoy the nature of the Arab countries. For this, there's nothing better than a hike in the Hajar Mountains. Apply sunscreen and get ready to climb the region's most beautiful hills.
Fujairah's location offers a view of the Gulf of Oman. The three valleys I recommend exploring in Fujairah are
- Wadi Al Waruyah
- Wadi Al Hayl
- Wadi Siji
The latter are known for their distinctive flora and fauna, and views worthy of the finest postcards.
Shopping at City Center Fujairah Mall
It wouldn't be a vacation without a trip to the mall. Over 100 high-street stores, an impressive food court, an 11-screen cinema and a Magic Planet entertainment center are all part of this mall. If you love shopping, this is one of the best things to do in the city.
Sunbathing at Umbrella Beach
Looking to unwind on your trip to Fujairah? Umbrella Beach is located on the city's corniche and offers beautiful sparkling waters and access to numerous activities. Grab your beach towel, floatation devices and get ready to enjoy the place. After your moment of idleness, you can quench your thirst in one of the many cafés along the promenade.
Visit the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
While it bears a striking resemblance to the one in Abu Dhabi, this site is only the second largest mosque in the United Arab Emirates. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque has enough space to accommodate 28,000 worshippers. Visits take place every day except Friday.
You now have everything you need to have a great time in Fujairah. During your trip to Dubai, I recommend escaping the big city for a while and exploring the surrounding area. You won't be disappointed!
