The Emirate Golf Club offers you two incredible courses to try out if you're a golf enthusiast.
The Majlis, Dubai's most complex course
The Majlis was Dubai's 1st grass golf course. Home to numerous international championships, it is one of the UAE's most iconic golf courses. Tiger Woods, Rory Mcllroy and Ernie Els have all played here.
It was designed by architect Karl Litten and covers 7,301 metres of land. Its layout makes it one of the most challenging golf courses in Dubai. Finally, it was awarded as the best golf course in the Middle East by Golf Digest 2018.
Golf course fees in Dubai vary according to the season. Rates for the Majlis golf course may be higher than :
- 900 AED (€244) per session during high season for 18-hole courses
- up to 550 AED (€149) for the 9-hole course.
Try your hand at golf on the Faldo course
The Faldo is the Emirates Golf Club's other golf course in Dubai. It was built in 1996 and was originally called the Wadi. However, in 2005, it underwent a complete overhaul and was renamed in honor of golf legend Nick Faldo. The course is slightly larger than the Majlis, covering an area of 7,348 meters. It is an 18-hole course. Faldo also has the distinction of being the 1st golf course in Dubai to use LED lighting technology.
The cost of the reservation depends on the number of holes, golf balls, golf carts and other options you choose. For example, at Faldo, nine holes cost AED 280 (€76) while costs rise up to 450 AED (€122) for 18 holes.
Montgomerie Golf Club
The Montgomerie Golf Club is home to one of Dubai's smallest courses, covering 107 hectares. Named after its designer Colin Montgomerie, it features a 9-hole floodlit course.
You can play nine holes for 110 to 180 AED (€29 to €48)This makes it one of the cheapest golf courses in Dubai. The course also offers golf lessons in Dubai for amateurs.
Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club
If you're staying in a hotel near Dubai International Airport or renting a villa or apartment nearby, the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club should be your favorite choice of golf course. You can enjoy a quick round of golf on this magnificent course. for only 100 AED (€27).
You can also buy a Young Professional membership or get the Leisure membership just for a few rounds of golf with your friends each month.
Le Els Club
The Els Club offers a first-class golfing experience and is regarded as one of the world's most prestigious golf clubs. one of Dubai's finest golf courses. It was designed by Open Championship and US Open winner Ernie Els. Players can also choose their own course, ranging from the simple leisure course to the complete professional experience.
The course's facilities are also first-rate. In 2008, it was named "Best New International Course". The club offers a wide range of memberships to suit all tastes. They also have a golf academy offering lessons.
You can book a tee time at this Dubai golf club at different rates depending on the day. From Thursday to Saturday, during peak hours, the rates are as follows are AED 835 (€226).. From Sunday to Wednesday, rates for the Els Club are as follows 680 AED (€184).
One of the most popular packages, the Twilight, starts at 2:20 p.m. and costs AED 595 (€161) at weekends and AED 445 (€120) on weekdays.
Super Twilight offers start at 4 p.m. and are as follows 355 AED (€96) at weekends and 335 AED (€91) on weekdays.
