It's a question I'm often asked.
With architecture to die for, luxury hotels and a history as old as the desert, Dubai is gradually becoming a favorite with tourists from all over the world.
Today, I'm going to tell you how to get to this little paradise.

How to get to Dubai: entry requirements
As in all countries, there are certain conditions for entering this city in the United Arab Emirates. For a stay of less than 30 daysA valid passport is required.
This must be valid for at least six months after your initial arrival. On arrival, you can apply for a 30-day tourist visa. Find out more about visas, I wrote a full article on the subject here.
For stays of more than 30 days, you must comply with certain conditions. Visa renewal requirements in Dubai are very strict. You must present sufficient funds in your bank account to live adequately during your stay. You should also give reasons why you wish to stay longer than one month in Dubai.
All this can be done before your departure at the UAE Embassy in Paris. Once we have received your application, we will study it carefully and give you an answer. a few weeks after submitting your application.
Sanitary measures to be respected
You are not obliged to be vaccinated against Covid 19. You must request a PCR test 72 hours before departure. However, entry is facilitated for those who have been vaccinated. Please note that PCR tests must be carried out by a professional. Home test kits are not approved by the Dubai authorities.
How to get to Dubai: the choice of transport
You can choose between several means of transport to get to Dubai. You can either by plane or by boat.
Flying to Dubai
You can reach Dubai by plane. The city is over 3,000 km from Paris. Numerous flights are organized by various airlines. Of course, if you want to make life easier for yourself, I recommend flying Emirates, which will take you directly to Dubai airport.
Other airlines such as Qatar Airways and Etihad Airways drop you off at Abu Dhabi. From there, take a cab to to Dubai.
For some time now, Air France has also been offering direct flights to Dubai. However, tickets can be a little more expensive. If you want to save on prices, I'd advise you to opt for airlines offering flights with stopovers. The journey may take a little longer, but you can still save a lot of money.
At Dubai airport, you arrive at the terminal 3 via Emirates. Other airlines arrive at Terminal 1. Then simply take the metro into the city center.
You can also order a cab which will take you directly to your hotel.
Tickets cost between €300 and €500. Of course, the further in advance you book, the greater the discount on your flight.
Arriving in Dubai by plane allows you to enjoy the beauty of the city from the air. An image that will last a lifetime forever etched in your memory.
Going to Dubai by boat
The journey to Dubai by boat is much longer. While it only takes a few hours by plane to travel to Dubai, vou should allow 21 days for the boat trip.
This will take you across the Mediterranean to Egypt. You will then cross the Red Sea and continue your journey towards Djibouti. After crossing the Persian Gulf, you'll finally arrive in Dubai.
The boat trip is not only longer, but also more expensive. You'll need to budget around €1,500 for your trip. However, for this price, you can discover many other countries along the way. You'll pass through Italy, Cyprus, Oman and Qatar.
Once you've arrived, you can take a cab to your hotel or use the the metro just a few steps from the port.
A trip to Dubai is an exceptional experience that you'll probably want to experience with your family. On site, you'll find all the facilities you need for your stay.
