Can you move to Dubai without a job?
It's possible, but I wouldn't recommend it. Dubai is quite expensive, with prices rivaling those of major European capitals. Therefore, if you don't have the funds, we suggest you find out about the job market beforehand. The Dubai job market is relatively high, with new businesses opening every month.
If you've received a job offer while still living in another country, you're one of the lucky ones. However, it's best to get the best deal on your remuneration, which means negotiating with your employer. The high cost of living in Dubai means you need to consider the cost of moving, housing and raising your children, if you have any.
If you decide to venture into the city without a job, it's possible. In fact, you can enter Dubai on a tourist visa and contact employers or specialized recruitment agencies directly. However, you should always bear in mind that working in Dubai requires a work permit and a visa sponsored by your employer.

If you've solved the job problem, you should think about where your new home. Dubai is one of the world's most expensive cities, and properties are no exception.
Rental prices are not always affordable. However, renting a studio can be a solution if you want to take advantage of relatively low accommodation costs. Places like Dubai MarinaDowntown Dubai and the Arabian Ranches should be avoided. These are the most expensive places in town!
Another thing you need to consider is compliance with regulations during the buying or renting process. RERA, the local real estate authority in the United Arab Emirates, requires all agents to be registered, so make sure you don't only work with a registered agent.

Dubai has well-maintained roads and a well-developed public transport system. If you want to see the city, there are buses, streetcars, the Dubai Metro and even boats.
The Dubai Metro opened to the public in 2009. There are 2 lines: the Red Line and the Green Line. Two other lines are currently under construction. The Dubai Metro is divided into 3 different sections: Gold, Women & children and Ordinary. There are different ticket prices depending on your section.
As far as buses are concerned, you'll be pleased to know that all are air-conditioned to make getting around easier! In Dubai, bus stops are also air-conditioned ! These same bus stops are equipped with screens and connected to the Internet, giving you real-time traffic updates.

The United Arab Emirates has double tax treaties with over 130 countries, so you'll need to check whether you'll have to pay income tax in your country of residence according to local tax laws.
Corporate taxes are levied only on oil companies and foreign banks. This is about to change in 2023, as the government of the United Arab Emirates plans to introduce a federal corporate tax of 9 % for companies with net profits of €77,000 or more.
