The aim was to transform the arid space into a leisure and entertainment destination. The first phase of development <strong>opened to welcome the Grand Prix in 2009. <\/strong>The island's infrastructure continued to develop at immense speed to become the world-class entertainment center it is today.<\/p>\n<p>Yas Island was once part of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. When there are no races, you can test your driving skills in a specially adapted vehicle on this world-renowned track.<\/p>\n<p>If you're looking for a break from all the action, head to the relaxing white sands of Yas Beach. Featuring luxury brands, a children's playground, over 60 restaurants and a state-of-the-art cinema, <strong>you could easily spend a whole day at Yas Mall.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc116109284\"><\/a><strong>Where to eat on Yas Island<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Need to refuel after a busy day? Fortunately, the island boasts over 160 different restaurants and caf\u00e9s. From fast food to fine dining, you'll find cuisines from all over the world. I recommend a visit to Al Fanr, where you can try the cuisine of the Emirates.<\/p>\n<p>You can also taste <strong>to the flavours of Italy at the Filini Garden or transport yourself to India and visit Rangoli<\/strong>. In the evening, discover Casa De Cuba's extensive cocktail menu, try the W Lounge for something a little more sophisticated, or head to the MAD discotheque to party the night away.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc116109285\"><\/a><strong>How do I get to Yas Island?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>You can reach Yas Island by <strong>by car, cab, bus or boat<\/strong>. If you're coming from central Abu Dhabi, the island is just a 30-minute drive away and only 10 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport. If you're visiting Yas Island from Dubai, the journey takes around an hour from downtown Dubai and 75 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport. <a href=\"https:\/\/dubaifacile.fr\/en\/dubai-airport\/\">Dubai International Airport<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Getting around Yas Island is easy with the free Yas Express shuttle, which takes you to all the island's key points and main attractions.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc116109286\"><\/a><strong>When is the best time to visit the island?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>As Abu Dhabi is in the middle of a desert, the summer months can be extremely hot and humid with minimal rain. However, the advantage of visiting in summer is that you may be able to negotiate. Indeed, <strong>accommodation prices tend to fall during this period.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you're looking for slightly cooler temperatures, but still plan to head to the beach and relax by the pool, the best time is <strong>April to May or September to October<\/strong>.
